  1. 1. Dissolve the yeast in 250 milliliters of lukewarm water.
  2. 2. Let the yeast mixture rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Mix the flour with salt in a large bowl.
  4. 4. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
  5. 5. Pour the yeast water along with the oil into the well.
  6. 6. Process the ingredients with the dough hooks of the hand mixer to form a smooth dough.
  7. 7. If the dough feels too wet, work in a little extra flour.
  8. 8. If the dough feels too dry, add a little lukewarm water.
  9. 9. Knead the dough vigorously by hand on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  10. 10. Shape the dough into a ball.
  11. 11. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  12. 12. Wash the herbs thoroughly.
  13. 13. Shake the herbs dry.
  14. 14. Finely chop the herbs.
  15. 15. Knead the risen dough well again.
  16. 16. Work the chopped herbs completely into the dough.
  17. 17. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
  18. 18. Shape each portion into a small ball.
  19. 19. Place the dough balls into forms lined with baking paper.
  20. 20. Let the shaped breads rise for another 15 minutes.
  21. 21. Preheat the oven.
  22. 22. Bake the breads at 200 degrees Celsius conventional heat (or 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced or gas mark 3) for about 30 minutes.
  23. 23. Remove the breads from the oven.
  24. 24. Let the breads cool down completely.
  25. 25. Serve the bread.
