  1. 1. Place the wheat flour, eggs, one teaspoon of salt, the finely chopped basil, the parmesan, and the pine nuts in a large bowl.
  2. 2. Stir the ingredients vigorously with a cooking spoon.
  3. 3. Pour in about 100 milliliters of water and beat the dough until it is thick and smooth.
  4. 4. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Bring water to a boil in a large pot and add some salt.
  6. 6. Shave the dough with a spätzle shaver or from a damp board directly into the boiling water.
  7. 7. Let the spätzle come to a boil briefly.
  8. 8. Stir them and let them simmer briefly.
  9. 9. Lift the finished spätzle out of the water with a slotted spoon.
  10. 10. Distribute the spätzle onto plates.
  11. 11. Drizzle them with a little olive oil and serve immediately.
