  1. 1. Wash, peel, and prepare the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery.
  2. 2. Cut the vegetables into fine cubes.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. 4. Sauté the onions and garlic in the hot oil until translucent.
  5. 5. Add the minced meat.
  6. 6. Fry the meat until crumbly.
  7. 7. Add the rest of the vegetables to the pan.
  8. 8. Cook the vegetables briefly.
  9. 9. Stir in the tomato paste.
  10. 10. Deglaze everything with red wine.
  11. 11. Add the tomatoes to the sauce.
  12. 12. Let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes until slightly thickened.
  13. 13. Stir occasionally while simmering.
  14. 14. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  15. 15. Melt the butter in a small saucepan.
  16. 16. Stir the flour into the butter.
  17. 17. Gradually add the milk.
  18. 18. Stir constantly to avoid lumps.
  19. 19. Simmer the sauce for a few minutes until it thickens.
  20. 20. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  21. 21. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  22. 22. Use the top and bottom heat setting.
  23. 23. Spread a little meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish (approx. 18x25 cm).
  24. 24. Place 3 lasagna sheets on the sauce.
  25. 25. Spread some béchamel sauce over the pasta sheets.
  26. 26. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used up.
  27. 27. Finish with the remaining béchamel sauce.
  28. 28. Slice the mozzarella.
  29. 29. Place the mozzarella slices on the lasagna.
  30. 30. Sprinkle Parmesan over the top.
  31. 31. Decorate the surface with butter flakes.
  32. 32. Bake the lasagna in the oven for approx. 40 minutes until golden brown.
  33. 33. Remove the lasagna from the oven.
  34. 34. Cut it into pieces.
  35. 35. Serve garnished with fresh basil.
