Ingredients
- 12 lamb chops
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt
- 150 g plain yogurt
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- pepper (from the mill)
- arugula
- plain yogurt
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the lamb chops under cold water and pat them completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 2. Peel the garlic cloves and mash them into a fine paste with a pinch of salt.
- 3. Mix the yoghurt, grated ginger, lemon juice, curry powder, and pepper in a bowl.
- 4. Add the garlic paste to the yoghurt mixture and stir everything well.
- 5. Place the chops in the marinade and turn them so that every piece is well coated on all sides.
- 6. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least two hours to allow the meat to absorb the flavors.
- 7. Remove the chops from the marinade, let the excess liquid drip off, and scrape off any remaining marinade from the meat.
- 8. Now season the chops with a little salt.
- 9. Preheat your grill or the oven with the grill function.
- 10. Place the chops on the hot grill grate.
- 11. Grill the chops on each side for 6 to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the meat.
- 12. Turn the chops occasionally while grilling so they cook evenly.
- 13. Serve the finished chops on a bed of fresh rocket (arugula).
- 14. Serve the dish with an extra portion of plain yoghurt on the side.
