🍽️ Pork chop with creamy pumpkin and potato mash

Ingredients
- 800 g floury cooking potatoes
- 500 g pumpkin flesh (peeled and seeded)
- 4 pork chops
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 125 ml milk
- 100 g whipping cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 50 ml dry white wine
- 1 tsp bouillon granules
- 2 tsp dark sauce thickener
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and wash them. Cut them into large cubes. Cut the pumpkin into large pieces as well. Cook both in salted water for about 20 to 25 minutes until tender.
- 2. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and thyme. Fry them in hot clarified butter for about 7 minutes on each side.
- 3. Drain the potatoes and pumpkin. Add milk, cream, and butter. Mash everything finely using a potato masher. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4. Remove the meat from the pan and keep it warm. Deglaze the pan with wine. Add 150 milliliters of water, broth, and sauce thickener. Bring the sauce to a boil and let it thicken.
- 5. Serve the pork chop on plates with the pumpkin and potato mash.
