  2. 2. Place the cleaned berries and the peppermint into a pot.
  3. 3. Pour in two tablespoons of water.
  4. 4. Place the pot on the stove and cover it with a lid.
  5. 5. Cook the berries gently over low heat until they are soft.
  6. 6. Remove the pot from the heat.
  7. 7. Sprinkle the compote with sugar to taste.
