🍰 Crunchy Coconut Triangles with Chocolate Glaze

Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 250 g fine sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 250-300g coconut flakes
- 150 g dark couverture chocolate
Instructions
- 1. Whip the egg whites in a bowl until very stiff.
- 2. Gradually add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt to the egg whites.
- 3. Gently fold the coconut flakes into the mixture at the end.
- 4. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 5. Place walnut-sized mounds of the mixture onto the tray.
- 6. Shape the mounds into triangles using a knife lightly dusted with flour.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius (or to gas mark 1-2 for gas ovens).
- 8. Bake the triangles for 30 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.
- 9. Let the coconut triangles cool down completely on the tray.
- 10. Melt the coating chocolate in a water bath.
- 11. Dip one corner of each cooled triangle briefly into the melted chocolate.
- 12. Let the chocolate dry in the air.
- 13. Insert a wire into the undipped corner of each triangle.
- 14. Attach the triangles to a small Christmas tree or similar decoration using the wires.
