  1. 1. Peel the onion and the ginger root.
  2. 2. Dice the onion into very small cubes.
  3. 3. Finely chop the ginger.
  4. 4. Put the oil in a pot and heat it.
  5. 5. Sauté the onions and ginger in it for 3 minutes over medium heat.
  6. 6. Add the peas.
  7. 7. Sauté the peas for another 3 minutes.
  8. 8. Pour in 350 ml of coconut milk and the broth.
  9. 9. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  10. 10. Let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  11. 11. Season the soup with salt and pepper.
  12. 12. Toast the coriander seeds together with both types of sesame seeds in a hot pan over medium heat for about 3 minutes until they smell fragrant.
  13. 13. Remove the mixture from the pan.
  14. 14. Lightly crush it in a mortar.
  15. 15. Wash the fresh coriander leaves.
  16. 16. Shake them dry.
  17. 17. Chop them coarsely.
  18. 18. Blend the pea coconut soup until smooth.
  19. 19. Add a little more broth if needed to reach the desired consistency.
  20. 20. Season with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  21. 21. Drizzle the finished soup with the remaining coconut milk.
  22. 22. Serve it sprinkled with the toasted spice mixture and fresh coriander leaves.
