🍰 Crunchy Plum Layer Dessert

Ingredients
- 300 g plums (150 g yellow and 150 g red each)
- 100 ml apple juice
- 4 tbsp liquid honey
- 0.5 small cinnamon stick
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 150 g yogurt (0.1% fat)
- 100 ml whipping cream
- 6 whole wheat zwieback
Instructions
- 1. Wash the plums thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
- 3. Cut the plum halves into thin wedges.
- 4. Put the apple juice, two tablespoons of honey, and the cinnamon stick into a pot.
- 5. Bring the mixture in the pot to a boil.
- 6. Let the liquid reduce for a short time.
- 7. Add the prepared plum wedges to the pot.
- 8. Simmer the plums over low heat for two to three minutes.
- 9. Drain the plums through a sieve.
- 10. Catch the draining juice in a bowl.
- 11. Put low-fat quark, yogurt, and the remaining honey into a bowl.
- 12. Beat the quark mixture until creamy using the beaters of a hand mixer.
- 13. Put the cream into a tall container.
- 14. Whip the cream until stiff.
- 15. Gently fold the whipped cream into the quark-yogurt mixture.
- 16. Break the zwieback (dry rusks) into small pieces.
- 17. Soak the zwieback pieces in the collected plum juice.
- 18. Layer the soaked zwieback pieces, the plums, and the quark cream alternately in a small baking dish or in four glasses.
- 19. Place the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 25 to 30 minutes.
- 20. Let the dessert chill and set.
