🍽️ Crispy Potato Rösti

Ingredients
- 600 g waxy potatoes
- salt
- pepper from the mill
- nutmeg
- 3 tbsp rapeseed oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes.
- 2. Rinse the potatoes under running water.
- 3. Grate the potatoes coarsely using a box grater.
- 4. Place the grated potatoes into a bowl.
- 5. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 6. Squeeze the moisture out of the potato mixture using your hands.
- 7. Grate some nutmeg over the potato mixture.
- 8. Heat rapeseed oil in a large non-stick pan.
- 9. Divide the potato mixture into four equal portions.
- 10. Place one portion into the hot pan.
- 11. Press the portion down slightly to flatten it.
- 12. Fry the rösti over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
- 13. Flip the rösti.
- 14. Cook the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes until done.
- 15. Let the finished rösti drain on kitchen paper.
