🍽️ Crispy Chicken Wings

Ingredients
- 400 g chicken wings (8 chicken wings)
- 7 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp dry sherry
- 40 g peeled sesame
- 40 g black sesame
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp classic vegetable broth
- 1 star anise
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 1 lime
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken wings under cold running water.
- 2. Pat the wings dry thoroughly with kitchen paper.
- 3. Separate the small wing tips and discard them.
- 4. Break the middle wing sections apart at the joints.
- 5. Poke the meat in several places with a fork.
- 6. Mix one tablespoon of soy sauce with sherry in a bowl.
- 7. Place the wings in the marinade and let them sit for 15 minutes.
- 8. Toast the peeled sesame seeds in a dry pan.
- 9. Toast the black sesame seeds separately in a dry pan.
- 10. Place the two types of sesame seeds onto separate shallow plates.
- 11. Add the remaining soy sauce, sugar, honey, vegetable broth, and star anise to a pot.
- 12. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 13. Let the sauce reduce by about half.
- 14. Remove the wings from the marinade and pat them dry.
- 15. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- 16. Fry the wings in batches over medium heat until golden brown.
- 17. Cook them for 10 to 12 minutes, turning them on all sides.
- 18. Brush the fried wings with the prepared seasoning sauce.
- 19. Press half of the wings into the peeled sesame seeds.
- 20. Press the other half of the wings into the black sesame seeds.
- 21. Cut a lime into wedges.
- 22. Serve the wings with the lime wedges.
