Ingredients
- 500 g firm-cooking potatoes
- 1 tbsp high-heat vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp whole grain rice flour
- 1 tsp mild sweet paprika powder
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes or wash them thoroughly. Cut them into about 1 cm thick, even sticks. Place the sticks in a colander and rinse them under running water until the water runs clear.
- 2. Place the potato sticks in a large, heatproof bowl and pour boiling water over them. Let them soak for about 15 minutes, then drain the water.
- 3. Spread the fries on a clean kitchen towel and dry them well. Then mix them in a bowl with oil, flour, paprika powder, and salt.
- 4. Preheat the oven together with the baking tray to 200 °C (convection 180 °C; gas: setting 3).
- 5. Take the tray out of the oven, line it with baking paper, and distribute the fries so that they touch as little as possible. Bake the fries for about 25 to 30 minutes until crispy. Turn them once after 15 minutes.
