🍽️ Crispy Apple Pouches

Ingredients
- 20 frozen dough pieces (for spring rolls)
- 5 tart apples
- 4 tbsp palm sugar
- 4 tbsp coconut milk
- 4 tbsp coconut flakes
- 2 limes (juice)
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the apples in half.
- 2. Remove the skin and the core.
- 3. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Drizzle the apple cubes with lime juice.
- 5. Toast the coconut flakes in a pan without fat until golden brown.
- 6. Heat palm sugar and coconut milk over low heat.
- 7. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 8. Add the apple cubes to the sweetness.
- 9. Cook the mixture very briefly, but make sure the apples do not fall apart.
- 10. Remove the pan from the stove.
- 11. Fold the toasted coconut flakes into the apple mixture.
- 12. Let the spring roll wrappers thaw.
- 13. Lay the dough sheets on a clean work surface.
- 14. Place two tablespoons of the apple filling in the center of each sheet.
- 15. Fold one corner of the sheet widely over the filling.
- 16. Fold the right and left sides of the wrapper inwards over the filling.
- 17. Roll the rest of the sheet tightly.
- 18. Heat vegetable oil in a pot or wok.
- 19. Bring the oil to a very hot state.
- 20. Fry the rolls in batches in the hot oil.
- 21. Fry them for about three minutes.
- 22. Remove them from the oil when they are golden brown.
- 23. Place the rolls on kitchen paper.
- 24. Blot excess fat.
- 25. Serve the pouches lukewarm.
- 26. Add lime wedges.
