  1. 1. Peel the garlic cloves and the piece of ginger.
  2. 2. Slice the garlic and ginger into very thin pieces.
  3. 3. Melt the butter in a pan.
  4. 4. Fry half of the garlic slices in the butter until golden brown.
  5. 5. Pour the soy sauce over the garlic.
  6. 6. Sprinkle turmeric over it.
  7. 7. Let the mixture sit for a short moment.
  8. 8. Remove the pan from the heat.
  9. 9. Let the garlic mixture cool down.
  10. 10. Stir the remaining garlic and ginger into the cooled mixture.
  11. 11. Add the oil.
  12. 12. Season the mixture with salt to taste.
  13. 13. Serve the oil lukewarm as a dip.
