  1. 1. Split the chicken drumsticks at the joints into two pieces.
  2. 2. Peel the garlic and slice it finely.
  3. 3. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly under running water.
  4. 4. Cut them lengthwise into wedges.
  5. 5. Wash the lemon under hot water.
  6. 6. Slice half of it.
  7. 7. Squeeze the juice from the other half.
  8. 8. Peel the onions.
  9. 9. Cut them lengthwise into wedges.
  10. 10. Gently slide half of the garlic slices under the skin of the chicken pieces.
  11. 11. Rub the meat with two tablespoons of oil.
  12. 12. Season with salt and pepper.
  13. 13. Bake on the second rack from the bottom in the oven for 15 minutes.
  14. 14. Whisk together six tablespoons of oil, the lemon juice, salt, pepper, and the remaining garlic slices.
  15. 15. Toss the potatoes, onions, and lemon slices with the marinade.
  16. 16. Place everything on the baking sheet along with the chicken.
  17. 17. Roast in the preheated oven at 200 degrees (center rack) for about 35 minutes.
