🍽️ Garlic Dip with Savory Waffles

Ingredients
- 100 g Butter
- 4 fresh egg yolks
- 200 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 250 ml milk
- 8 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 level tsp dried oregano
- 4 fresh egg whites
- oil (for the waffle iron)
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 250 g crème fraîche
- lemon (juice)
- 2 tbsp fruit vinegar
- pepper (from the mill)
- worcestershire sauce
- 4 tbsp chive rings
Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter and egg yolk until creamy.
- 2. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift the mixture.
- 3. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk to the batter and stir well.
- 4. Fold in the grated Parmesan, salt, and oregano into the batter.
- 5. Whip the egg whites until stiff.
- 6. Gently fold the egg whites into the batter.
- 7. Preheat the waffle iron and grease it if necessary.
- 8. Bake golden yellow waffles.
- 9. Grate the garlic cloves with a little salt into a paste.
- 10. Whisk the crème fraîche with the lemon juice, vinegar, and garlic until frothy.
- 11. Season the dip mixture with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- 12. Stir the chopped chives into the cream.
- 13. Serve the cream together with the waffles.
