  1. 1. Put the flour in a bowl.
  2. 2. Take one tablespoon of the wheat groats and set it aside.
  3. 3. Mix the remaining groats, two tablespoons of oil, and the salt with the flour.
  4. 4. Stir the yeast into lukewarm water until smooth.
  5. 5. Combine the yeast mixture with the flour.
  6. 6. Use the dough hooks of an electric hand mixer to knead everything into a smooth dough.
  7. 7. Cover the bowl.
  8. 8. Let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
  9. 9. Separate the garlic into cloves.
  10. 10. Peel the garlic cloves.
  11. 11. Knead the dough thoroughly on a floured work surface.
  12. 12. Divide it into two parts.
  13. 13. Knead half of the garlic into each portion.
  14. 14. Shape the dough into balls.
  15. 15. Let them rise again for about 45 minutes.
  16. 16. Now shape the balls into elongated loaves.
  17. 17. Brush them with the remaining oil.
  18. 18. Sprinkle with the reserved wheat groats.
  19. 19. Bake the loaves in a preheated oven at 240 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
  20. 20. Then reduce the temperature to 200 degrees Celsius.
  21. 21. Bake for another 15 to 20 minutes.
  22. 22. Remove from the oven.
  23. 23. Let cool.
  24. 24. Slice the bread for serving.
  25. 25. Toast the slices.
  26. 26. Spread them with a little butter.
