  2. 2. Place the potatoes in a pot with a little water.
  3. 3. Steam the potatoes over medium heat for about 30 minutes until they are cooked through.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic.
  5. 5. Slice two garlic cloves into thin slices.
  6. 6. Heat some oil in a frying pan.
  7. 7. Fry the remaining whole garlic cloves slowly in the hot oil.
  8. 8. Stir occasionally until the cloves are lightly golden brown and soft.
  9. 9. Remove the fried cloves from the pan.
  10. 10. Mash the cloves into a paste using a fork.
  11. 11. Fry the garlic slices in the same pan until golden brown.
  12. 12. Place the slices on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
  13. 13. Peel the cooked potatoes.
  14. 14. Press the potatoes through a potato ricer into a bowl.
  15. 15. Pour hot milk over the potatoes.
  16. 16. Add the garlic paste.
  17. 17. Add Creme Fraiche.
  18. 18. Stir everything well until a creamy mixture forms.
  19. 19. Season the mash with salt and pepper to taste.
