🍽️ Homemade Garlic Cloves in Oil

Ingredients
- 250 g garlic
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 0.5 l olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic cloves completely.
- 2. Rinse the peeled cloves under running water.
- 3. Bring a pot of water and salt to a boil.
- 4. Add the garlic cloves to the boiling water.
- 5. Cook the cloves in the water for 5 minutes (this is called blanching).
- 6. Remove the garlic cloves from the water.
- 7. Let the water drain well from the cloves.
- 8. Let the cloves cool down completely.
- 9. Place the cooled garlic cloves together with the thyme into a clean, sterile jar.
- 10. Pour the olive oil over the ingredients until they are completely covered.
- 11. Seal the jar tightly.
- 12. Store the jar in a dark and cool place.
- 13. Let the garlic cloves infuse in the oil for at least 2 weeks.
