Ingredients
- 150 g sultanas
- 150 g currants
- 100 g dried plums
- 40 ml rum
- 1 apple
- 50 g citron
- 50 g candied orange peel
- 60 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 0.25 tsp ground cloves
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 30 g breadcrumbs
- 125 g flour
- 75 g ground hazelnuts
- soft butter (for the molds)
- breadcrumbs (for the molds)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius using the top and bottom heat setting.
- 2. Pour boiling water over the sultanas and currants. Place them in a sieve and let them drain well.
- 3. Finely chop the dried plums. Mix them with the drained sultanas, currants, and rum.
- 4. Peel the apple. Cut it into quarters and remove the core. Grate the flesh finely.
- 5. Add the grated apples, along with the finely chopped candied lemon peel and candied orange peel, to the rum fruit mixture.
- 6. Beat the soft butter with the sugar and spices until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- 7. Stir the eggs into the butter mixture. Continue stirring until a nice, foamy mass forms.
- 8. Gently fold in the breadcrumbs, flour, and nuts into the egg mixture.
- 9. Add the dry ingredients to the wet fruit mixture. Stir everything together to form a uniform dough.
- 10. Fill the dough into 12 small molds. Bake the puddings in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes.
- 11. Remove the molds from the oven. Let the puddings cool down slightly inside them.
- 12. Carefully release the puddings from the molds. Dust them with powdered sugar and serve.
