🍰 Juicy Meatballs in Muffin Tin

Ingredients
- 1 stale roll
- 50 g cornichons
- 50 g pickled pearl onions
- 1 egg
- 350 g mixed minced meat
- 80 g chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp mustard
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 24 small paper baking cups (for a mini muffin tin)
- 1 mini muffin baking tray
Instructions
- 1. Place the bread rolls in a bowl and cover them with lukewarm water.
- 2. Take the bread rolls out of the water and squeeze them well with your hands so that no water remains.
- 3. Break the squeezed bread rolls into small pieces.
- 4. Finely chop the cornichons (small sour pickles) and the pearl onions (small, sweet onions).
- 5. Add the minced meat, the bread pieces, the cornichons, the pearl onions, and the walnuts to a large bowl.
- 6. Add the mustard, salt, and pepper.
- 7. Knead all ingredients well with your hands until a firm dough forms.
- 8. Place the paper baking cups into the compartments of the muffin tin.
- 9. Distribute the dough evenly among the cups.
- 10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 11. Bake the muffins in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 12. Take the muffins out of the oven and serve them warm or cold.
