🍽️ Small Focaccia with Apple and Nuts

Ingredients
- 3 Apples
- 80 g Walnut kernels
- 4 Marjoram sprigs
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Walnut oil
- coarse sea salt
Instructions
- 1. Pour 600 milliliters of lukewarm water into a large bowl.
- 2. Crumble the yeast into the water.
- 3. Add the olive oil and the sugar.
- 4. Stir the liquid mixture thoroughly with a spoon.
- 5. Place the flour into a separate bowl.
- 6. Make a well in the center of the flour.
- 7. Sprinkle the salt around the edge of the flour bowl.
- 8. Pour the yeast liquid into the well in the flour.
- 9. Knead the dough slowly by gradually pulling flour from the edges into the center.
- 10. Continue working the dough until it is smooth and no longer sticks to your hands.
- 11. If necessary, add a little more flour or water to achieve the right consistency.
- 12. Cover the bowl.
- 13. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
- 14. Wait until the volume of the dough has doubled.
- 15. Dust your work surface with a little flour.
- 16. Divide the dough into eight equal portions.
- 17. Shape each portion into a flat round.
- 18. Place the rounds on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 19. Cover the rounds.
- 20. Let them rest for another 35 minutes.
- 21. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 22. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 23. Quarter the apples.
- 24. Remove the cores from the apple quarters.
- 25. Cut the apples into small cubes.
- 26. Chop the nuts coarsely.
- 27. Wash the marjoram.
- 28. Shake the marjoram dry.
- 29. Pluck the leaves off the marjoram stems.
- 30. Mix the apple cubes, nuts, sugar, and marjoram leaves together in a bowl.
- 31. Distribute the apple-nut mixture evenly over the focaccia rounds.
- 32. Press the toppings slightly into the dough.
- 33. Drizzle a little of both oils over the focaccia.
- 34. Sprinkle a little salt over them.
- 35. Bake the focaccia in the oven for about 8 minutes until golden brown.
