  1. 1. Put the beef, the egg, and the breadcrumbs into a large bowl.
  2. 2. Work the ingredients together with your hands until you have a uniform mixture.
  3. 3. Season the meat mixture generously with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Shape the mixture into 16 small, equal-sized burger patties.
  5. 5. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  6. 6. Fry the burger patties in the hot oil on the first side for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. 7. Flip the patties and fry them on the second side for another 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
  8. 8. Slice the buns horizontally through the middle.
  9. 9. Toast the cut sides of the buns in a dry pan or in the oven until golden brown.
  10. 10. Remove the cooked burger patties from the heat.
  11. 11. Place the burger patties on the bottom halves of the toasted buns.
  12. 12. Add your prepared additional ingredients according to your taste.
  13. 13. Assemble the burgers with the top bun halves.
  14. 14. Serve the mini burgers immediately while warm.
