Ingredients
- 4 pears
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 0.5 lemon (juice)
- 40 g almond slivers
- 200 g strudel pastry
- 30 g melted butter (for brushing)
- 20 g almond flakes
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pears.
- 2. Cut the pears into quarters.
- 3. Remove the core from the pear pieces.
- 4. Dice the pear pieces.
- 5. Place the pears in a bowl.
- 6. Add the vanilla sugar.
- 7. Add the brown sugar.
- 8. Add the lemon juice.
- 9. Add the slivered almonds.
- 10. Mix all ingredients well together.
- 11. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 12. Cut the strudel pastry into squares of about 20 by 20 centimeters.
- 13. Brush the pastry squares with butter.
- 14. Distribute the pear filling on the bottom third of each pastry square.
- 15. Fold the side edges of the pastry towards the center.
- 16. Roll the pastry squares into small strudels.
- 17. Place the strudels seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 18. Brush the strudels with the remaining butter.
- 19. Sprinkle the strudels with sliced almonds.
- 20. Bake the strudels for about 15 minutes until golden brown in the oven.
- 21. Remove the strudels from the oven.
- 22. Dust the strudels with powdered sugar.
- 23. Serve the strudels.
