🍝 Classic Goulash with Peppers and Noodles

Ingredients
- 750 g beef goulash
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp paprika powder
- 400 ml meat broth
- 200 g chunky tomatoes (can)
- 0.5 tsp ground cumin
- salt
- pepper
- 2 red bell peppers
- 300 g ribbon noodles
- 2 tbsp crème fraîche
Instructions
- 1. Heat the oil in a large pot.
- 2. Sear the meat cubes in batches until browned.
- 3. Remove the meat from the pot and set it aside.
- 4. Peel the onions and garlic.
- 5. Finely dice the onions and garlic.
- 6. Sauté the onion and garlic mixture in the same pot for a short time.
- 7. Return the seared meat to the pot.
- 8. Sprinkle the meat with paprika powder.
- 9. Deglaze the mixture with the meat broth.
- 10. Add the tomatoes to the pot.
- 11. Season with cumin, salt, and pepper.
- 12. Cover the pot and let the goulash simmer on low heat for approx. 1 hour.
- 13. Stir the goulash occasionally.
- 14. Wash the bell peppers.
- 15. Halve the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
- 16. Dice the bell peppers.
- 17. Add the diced peppers to the goulash.
- 18. Let the goulash simmer for another approx. 30 minutes.
- 19. Add more broth if necessary, if the sauce becomes too dry.
- 20. Cook the ribbon noodles in salted water al dente.
- 21. Drain the noodles.
- 22. Distribute the noodles onto plates.
- 23. Stir the crème fraîche into the goulash.
- 24. Season the goulash with salt and pepper to taste.
- 25. Pour the goulash over the noodles.
- 26. Serve the dish.
