🍽️ Classic Crispy Meatballs

Ingredients
- 1 stale rolls
- 1 shallot
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 700 g mixed minced meat
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp medium-hot mustard
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 20 g ghee
Instructions
- 1. Soak the bread roll in lukewarm water.
- 2. Peel the shallot and the garlic.
- 3. Finely chop the shallot and the garlic.
- 4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
- 5. Sauté the onion mixture until translucent.
- 6. Stir in the chopped parsley.
- 7. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 8. Let the mixture cool down.
- 9. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well.
- 10. Mix the minced meat with the egg.
- 11. Add the mustard to the meat mixture.
- 12. Add the cooled onion-parsley mixture.
- 13. Fold in the squeezed bread roll.
- 14. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 15. Shape small meat patties from the mixture.
- 16. Melt ghee in a hot frying pan.
- 17. Fry the meatballs until golden brown.
- 18. Reduce the heat.
- 19. Let the meatballs cook through.
- 20. Arrange the meatballs on a platter.
- 21. Garnish them as desired with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions, and parsley.
