🍽️ Classic Cannelloni

Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- 400 g pureed tomatoes
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 tbsp alcohol-free red wine
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp medium-hot mustard
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 8 cannelloni
- 75 g finely grated parmesan
- fresh herbs (for serving)
- 40 g salad
- 50 g cherry tomatoes
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (conventional heat). If using fan-assisted heat, set it to 180 degrees Celsius. For gas ovens, set the dial to level 3.
- 2. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 3. Finely chop the onion and the garlic.
- 4. Take half of the chopped garlic and mix it into the tomatoes.
- 5. Season the tomato mixture with salt, pepper, and wine.
- 6. Set the tomato sauce aside for later use.
- 7. Grease the baking dish with some oil if it is not non-stick.
- 8. Mix the minced meat with the chopped onions.
- 9. Add the remaining half of the chopped garlic to the meat mixture.
- 10. Add the egg to the meat mixture.
- 11. Add the mustard to the meat mixture.
- 12. Add the thyme to the meat mixture.
- 13. Knead all the filling ingredients together thoroughly.
- 14. Season the meat mixture generously with salt and pepper.
- 15. Fill the cannelloni tubes with the meat mixture.
- 16. Place the filled cannelloni side by side in the prepared baking dish.
- 17. Spread the prepared tomato mixture evenly over the cannelloni.
- 18. Sprinkle the cheese over the cannelloni.
- 19. Bake the cannelloni in the oven for about 40 minutes.
- 20. Wash the salad greens and herbs under running water.
- 21. Shake the salad greens and herbs dry.
- 22. Wash the cherry tomatoes as well.
- 23. Pat the cherry tomatoes dry.
- 24. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
- 25. Plate the finished cannelloni.
- 26. Serve with the salad, herbs, and halved cherry tomatoes as a side.
- 27. Serve the dish immediately.
