🍳 Cherry Jam

Ingredients
- 450 g Sour cherries
- 450 g Sweet cherries
- 500 g Jam sugar (3:1)
- 200 ml Red wine
Instructions
- 1. Rinse four screw-top jars (each 400 milliliters) and the matching lids with boiling water.
- 2. Place the jars and lids upside down on a kitchen towel and let them drain.
- 3. Thoroughly wash the cherries.
- 4. Let the cherries drain well.
- 5. Remove the stems from the cherries.
- 6. Pit the cherries.
- 7. Cut the pitted cherries into small pieces.
- 8. Place the chopped cherries into a pot.
- 9. Add the jam sugar to the pot.
- 10. Pour the red wine into the pot.
- 11. Stir the mixture well until everything is combined.
- 12. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
- 13. Let the jam boil vigorously for 4 minutes.
- 14. Fill the hot cherry jam immediately into the prepared jars.
- 15. Seal the jars tightly with the screw-top lids.
- 16. Place the sealed jars upside down and let them stand for 5 minutes.
- 17. Then place the jars upright again.
