🍽️ Cherry-Almond Jam

Ingredients
- 1 kg dark sour cherries
- 700 g pectin sugar (2:1)
- 150 g whole almond kernels
- juice of one lemon
Instructions
- 1. Wash the cherries thoroughly and remove the pits. Then mix them in a bowl with the sugar, almonds, and lemon juice. Cover the bowl and let the mixture sit for 24 hours. Stir occasionally during this time.
- 2. The next day, carefully pour the marinated cherries into a pot. Bring them to a boil and then let them simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.
- 3. Perform a setting test: Place a teaspoon of the jam on a cold saucer. Tilt the saucer slightly; the jam should flow slowly and easily.
- 4. Let the jam cool down for a short while. Then pour it into clean jars with screw-top lids.
