  2. 2. Drain the cherries and carefully remove the pits.
  3. 3. Mix the cereal flakes with 125 milliliters of water in a pot.
  4. 4. Heat the mixture over low heat until it boils.
  5. 5. Simmer the porridge for 1 to 2 minutes while stirring constantly.
  6. 6. Add the pitted cherries to the pot.
  7. 7. Roughly chop the cherries using a hand blender directly in the pot.
  8. 8. Bring the mixture back to a brief boil.
  9. 9. Stir in the oil until it is fully incorporated.
  10. 10. Let the porridge cool down slightly before feeding.
