🍰 Juicy Cherry Bake

Ingredients
- 6 rolls
- 500 ml milk
- 70 g butter
- 3 eggs
- 120 g sugar
- 0.25 tsp cinnamon powder
- 2 tsp grated lemon zest
- 1 jar cherries (700 g)
- butter (for the dish)
- breadcrumbs (for the dish)
Instructions
- 1. Slice the bread rolls into thin slices.
- 2. Place the slices in a shallow dish.
- 3. Pour the milk over the bread slices.
- 4. Let the bread soak up the milk well.
- 5. Separate the eggs by separating the egg whites from the yolks.
- 6. Whip the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
- 7. Beat the butter until creamy and frothy.
- 8. Stir the egg yolk into the butter.
- 9. Add the sugar and stir it in.
- 10. Fold the soaked bread slices into the butter-sugar mixture.
- 11. Add the cinnamon and lemon zest and mix everything well.
- 12. Add the drained cherries to the mixture.
- 13. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cherry mixture.
- 14. Grease a baking dish generously with butter.
- 15. Coat the dish with breadcrumbs.
- 16. Pour the cherry-bread mixture into the prepared dish.
- 17. Smooth the surface of the mixture.
- 18. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 19. Bake the bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
