  2. 2. Wash the cherries thoroughly, let them drain, and remove the pits.

  4. 4. Mix the cherries with the sugar and let them marinate for about one hour.

  6. 6. Sift the flour into a bowl, make a well in the center, and add the eggs, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla flavoring, and lemon zest. Mix everything well and finally blend in the milk and cream to form a smooth batter.

  8. 8. Melt the butter in a saucepan and gently stir it into the batter.

  10. 10. Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle it with a little sugar. Rotate and tilt the dish so that the sugar is evenly distributed.
