  1. 1. Drain the cherries well in a sieve.
  2. 2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
  3. 3. Take a baking dish or four small ramekins.
  4. 4. Brush the dish or ramekins thinly with melted butter.
  5. 5. Whisk the eggs together with the powdered sugar until very frothy.
  6. 6. Sift the flour over the egg mixture.
  7. 7. Pour in the milk and stir everything into a smooth batter.
  8. 8. Pour the batter into the prepared dish.
  9. 9. Distribute the drained cherries evenly over the batter.
  10. 10. Bake the clafouti for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. 11. Remove the pastry from the oven.
  12. 12. Let it cool down for a short while.
  13. 13. Sprinkle some powdered sugar over it.
  14. 14. Serve the clafouti warm.
