  10. 10. Mash the potatoes thoroughly with a potato masher.
  11. 11. Add the diced butter to the mashed potatoes.
  12. 12. Season the mixture with salt and ground nutmeg.
  13. 13. Press the butter into the potatoes briefly with the masher.
  14. 14. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon, whisk, or hand mixer until the butter is completely melted.
  15. 15. Pour in the boiled milk.
  16. 16. Stir everything well until a loose, creamy puree forms.
