  1. 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
  2. 2. Peel the potatoes.
  3. 3. Bring water to a boil and add some salt.
  4. 4. Cook the potatoes in the salted water for about 20 minutes.
  5. 5. Wash the dill.
  6. 6. Shake the dill dry.
  7. 7. Pluck the small dill leaves (flags) from the stems.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 75 degrees Celsius (Gas level 1).
  9. 9. Place a suitable serving dish in the hot oven to preheat it.
  10. 10. Drain the cooking water from the potatoes.
  11. 11. Place the pot with the potatoes back on the hot stove burner.
  12. 12. Swirl the pot gently to allow the potatoes to steam dry.
  13. 13. Take half of the potatoes.
  14. 14. Press this half through a potato ricer directly into the preheated serving dish.
  15. 15. Take half of the butter.
  16. 16. Slice the butter into thin flakes or slices.
  17. 17. Distribute the butter flakes evenly over the potatoes.
  18. 18. Take half of the prepared dill leaves.
  19. 19. Sprinkle the dill over the butter and the potatoes.
  20. 20. Take the remaining half of the potatoes.
  21. 21. Press these remaining potatoes through the ricer into the dish as well.
  22. 22. Take the remaining half of the butter.
  23. 23. Slice it into flakes and place it on top.
  24. 24. Take the remaining half of the dill.
  25. 25. Sprinkle the remaining dill on top as the final step.
