  1. 1. Peel the potatoes, wash them thoroughly, and cut them into small cubes. Place the pieces in a pot of salted water, cover it, and boil for about 25 minutes until tender.
  2. 2. Finely chop the sage leaves. Melt 6 tablespoons of butter in a pan, add the chopped sage, and fry lightly for a few minutes until fragrant. Then remove the pan from the heat.
  3. 3. Drain the potatoes and let them steam for a moment. Add the remaining butter and cream, then mash everything with a potato masher until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Serve the mash on plates and drizzle the sage butter over it.
  4. 4. Garnish the finished dish with fresh sage leaves and serve alongside fried sausages.
