  4. 4. Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, fresh rosemary, and a pinch of ground nutmeg.
  5. 5. Toss everything well so that the spices coat the potatoes evenly.
  6. 6. Heat half of the butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  7. 7. Add the seasoned potatoes to the hot pan.
  8. 8. Turn the potatoes briefly to coat them with the melting fat.
  9. 9. Take the remaining butter and divide it into small cubes.
  10. 10. Distribute the butter flakes evenly over the surface of the potatoes.
  11. 11. Fry the potatoes for about 5 minutes until they are lightly golden brown.
  12. 12. Reduce the heat to a low setting.
  13. 13. Cover the pan with a lid.
  14. 14. Let the potatoes cook for another 30 minutes.
  15. 15. Do not stir the potatoes during cooking to prevent them from breaking apart.
