🍽️ Oven potatoes stuffed with creamy spinach filling

Ingredients
- 1600 g potatoes (8 potatoes)
- 2 tsp oil
- 250 g spinach
- 1 small onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 3 tbsp whipping cream
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 chopped sage leaves
- 125 g Gruyère cheese (sliced)
- aluminum foil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and wash them thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the bottom of each potato flat so that it stands stably.
- 3. Grease a piece of aluminum foil with a little oil.
- 4. Wrap each potato tightly in the prepared aluminum foil.
- 5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 6. Place the wrapped potatoes in the oven and bake them for about 45 minutes.
- 7. Wash the spinach thoroughly.
- 8. Bring water to a boil and add some salt.
- 9. Add the spinach to the boiling water and let it wilt briefly.
- 10. Drain the spinach and rinse it immediately with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 11. Squeeze the spinach well to remove excess liquid.
- 12. Finely chop the spinach.
- 13. Peel the onion and chop it finely as well.
- 14. Melt butter in a pan.
- 15. Sauté the onions in the hot fat.
- 16. Add the chopped spinach to the onion and sauté briefly.
- 17. Dust the mixture with flour.
- 18. Pour in the cream.
- 19. Let the sauce come to a brief boil until it thickens slightly.
- 20. Take the potatoes out of the oven and let them cool briefly.
- 21. Cut off the top of the potatoes.
- 22. Carefully hollow out the inside of the potatoes.
- 23. Mash the hollowed-out potato flesh with a fork.
- 24. Stir the mashed potato flesh into the spinach mixture.
- 25. Season the filling with salt, pepper, and sage.
- 26. Fill the empty potato shells with the spinach mixture.
- 27. Lightly grease a baking dish.
- 28. Place the stuffed potatoes in the baking dish.
- 29. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 30. Warm the potatoes in the oven for 10 minutes.
- 31. Top the potatoes with cheese.
- 32. Turn the oven up to 220 degrees.
- 33. Bake the potatoes for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.
