🍽️ Potatoes with Quark

Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 500 g low-fat quark
- 3 tbsp milk (1.5 %)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 pinch paprika powder
- 1 pinch caraway powder
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch chives
- 4 tbsp flaxseed oil
- butter (to taste)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Fill a pot with water and add some salt and cumin.
- 3. Place the potatoes in the water.
- 4. Cover the pot with a lid.
- 5. Cook the potatoes for about 25 minutes.
- 6. Put the quark into a bowl.
- 7. Pour the milk over the quark.
- 8. Stir the mixture until smooth, with no lumps remaining.
- 9. Season the quark mixture with salt.
- 10. Add pepper.
- 11. Add paprika powder.
- 12. Sprinkle in some cumin.
- 13. Peel the onion.
- 14. Finely chop the onion.
- 15. Wash the chives.
- 16. Cut the chives into small rings.
- 17. Place the chopped onion into a small bowl.
- 18. Place the chive rings into the same small bowl.
- 19. Drain the cooking water from the potatoes.
- 20. Let the potatoes steam for a short while.
- 21. Peel the potatoes.
- 22. Take a portion of potatoes.
- 23. Add some quark.
- 24. Plate the dish.
- 25. Repeat this for all portions.
- 26. Drizzle some linseed oil over the potatoes.
- 27. Serve the onions and chive rings separately.
- 28. Also serve the butter pieces.
