🍽️ Hearty Potato Stew with Marjoram

Ingredients
- 500 g firm-cooking potatoes
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 red onion
- 1 stalk leek
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 0.5 tsp curry powder
- 800 ml vegetable broth
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 sprigs marjoram
- freshly chopped marjoram (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and the celery.
- 2. Wash the vegetables thoroughly.
- 3. Remove the tough stems and outer leaves from the leek.
- 4. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 5. Dice all the prepared ingredients into small cubes.
- 6. Heat some oil in a pot.
- 7. Add the diced ingredients to the hot oil.
- 8. Sauté the vegetables briefly until fragrant.
- 9. Stir curry powder into the vegetables.
- 10. Deglaze the mixture with vegetable broth.
- 11. Season the stew with salt and pepper.
- 12. Add the fresh marjoram sprigs to the pot.
- 13. Let the stew simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.
- 14. Taste the stew one last time at the end.
- 15. Remove the cooked marjoram sprigs from the pot.
- 16. Serve the stew onto plates or into bowls.
- 17. Garnish the dish with fresh marjoram leaves.
- 18. Serve the stew hot.
