  1. 1. Crumble the yeast into a bowl.
  2. 2. Add the sugar and the warm buttermilk.
  3. 3. Stir the mixture until smooth and the yeast has dissolved.
  4. 4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Peel the potatoes.
  6. 6. Press the potatoes through a potato ricer.
  7. 7. Add the flour, salt, and the yeast-milk mixture to the potatoes.
  8. 8. Pour in 300 milliliters of lukewarm water.
  9. 9. Knead everything into a thick dough.
  10. 10. Knead the oil into the dough.
  11. 11. Grease a baking pan.
  12. 12. Place the dough into the prepared pan.
  13. 13. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan (convection).
  14. 14. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 to 40 minutes.
  15. 15. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 1 hour.
  16. 16. Turn the finished bread out of the pan.
  17. 17. Let the bread cool completely on a wire rack.
