🍽️ Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
- 1 kg floury potatoes
- Salt
- 150 ml Milk
- 100 ml Whipping cream
- 30 g Butter
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the peeled potatoes into evenly sized pieces.
- 3. Bring a large pot of water and a pinch of salt to a boil.
- 4. Add the potato pieces to the boiling water.
- 5. Cook the potatoes over medium heat for about 30 minutes until tender.
- 6. Drain the potatoes in a colander and let them drip dry well.
- 7. Heat the cream and milk in a small saucepan until warm.
- 8. Pour the warm milk mixture into a large mixing bowl.
- 9. Add the butter to the milk mixture.
- 10. Press the drained potatoes through a potato ricer directly into the bowl.
- 11. Stir the potatoes with the milk mixture until creamy.
- 12. Season the mash to taste with salt and ground nutmeg.
