  4. 4. Press the garlic through a press.
  5. 5. Wash the thyme sprigs.
  6. 6. Shake the thyme sprigs dry.
  7. 7. Pluck the small thyme leaves from the stems.
  8. 8. Mix the cream with the pressed garlic.
  9. 9. Add the plucked thyme leaves to the cream.
  10. 10. Stir the grated cheese into the cream mixture.
  11. 11. Season the mixture with salt.
  12. 12. Season the mixture with pepper.
  13. 13. Season the mixture with a pinch of nutmeg.
  14. 14. Place the potato slices in a circular, overlapping pattern in a baking dish.
