  3. 3. Place the grated onions and potatoes into a bowl.
  4. 4. Add flour, egg, and starch to the vegetable mixture.
  5. 5. Season the mixture generously with salt, pepper, and ground nutmeg.
  6. 6. Mix all ingredients thoroughly together.
  7. 7. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  8. 8. Spread the potato and onion mixture evenly onto the tray.
  9. 9. Press the mixture to a thickness of about 1 centimeter.
  10. 10. Use a round cutter (5 cm diameter) to cut circles out of the mixture.
  11. 11. Heat oil in a large frying pan.
  12. 12. Fry the potato and onion circles in the pan.
  13. 13. Fry them until golden brown and crispy on each side.
  14. 14. Remove the finished patties from the pan.
  15. 15. Serve them immediately while hot.
