🍽️ Crispy Potato and Onion Patties

Ingredients
- 3 onions
- 600 g cooked potatoes
- 2 tbsp spelt flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- salt
- pepper
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 3 tbsp rapeseed oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and grate them coarsely.
- 2. Peel the potatoes and grate them coarsely as well.
- 3. Place the grated onions and potatoes into a bowl.
- 4. Add flour, egg, and starch to the vegetable mixture.
- 5. Season the mixture generously with salt, pepper, and ground nutmeg.
- 6. Mix all ingredients thoroughly together.
- 7. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 8. Spread the potato and onion mixture evenly onto the tray.
- 9. Press the mixture to a thickness of about 1 centimeter.
- 10. Use a round cutter (5 cm diameter) to cut circles out of the mixture.
- 11. Heat oil in a large frying pan.
- 12. Fry the potato and onion circles in the pan.
- 13. Fry them until golden brown and crispy on each side.
- 14. Remove the finished patties from the pan.
- 15. Serve them immediately while hot.
