  2. 2. Place them in a pot with boiling water seasoned with salt.
  3. 3. Cook the potatoes for about 20 minutes until tender.
  4. 4. Peel the cooked potatoes.
  5. 5. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  6. 6. Peel the garlic.
  7. 7. Press the garlic directly into a bowl.
  8. 8. Mix the garlic with your favorite herbs.
  9. 9. Peel the onion.
  10. 10. Finely chop the onion.
  11. 11. Mix the chopped onion with the minced meat.
  12. 12. Add the egg, salt, pepper, and paprika powder to the meat mixture.
  13. 13. Stir everything well until it forms a homogeneous mass.
  14. 14. Grease the baking dish lightly with fat.
  15. 15. Shape a ring from the minced meat mixture around the outer edge of the dish.
  16. 16. Place the seasoned potato slices in the center of the ring in a shingle-like pattern.
  17. 17. Pour the vegetable broth over the potatoes.
  18. 18. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (or 180 °C fan-forced or gas mark 3).
  19. 19. Bake the casserole for about 25 to 30 minutes.
