🍕 Potato Minced Meat Pizza

Ingredients
- 250 g mealy-cooking potatoes
- 150 g whole wheat flour
- 100 g wheat flour (Type 550)
- salt
- 21 g yeast (0.5 cube)
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 200 g cream cheese
- 4 tbsp ajvar (jar)
- 200 g minced beef
- pepper
- paprika powder (sweet)
- dried oregano
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Place the unpeeled potatoes in boiling water.
- 3. Cook the potatoes for about 20 minutes until tender.
- 4. Drain the water.
- 5. Immediately rinse the potatoes under cold running water to stop the cooking process.
- 6. Peel the cooled potatoes.
- 7. Press the still warm potatoes through a potato ricer into a large bowl.
- 8. Add both types of flour and half a teaspoon of salt to the potatoes.
- 9. Roughly mix the ingredients with a fork.
- 10. Press a well into the center of the potato mixture.
- 11. Crumble the yeast with your fingers directly into the well.
- 12. Pour 150 milliliters of lukewarm water over the yeast and the mixture.
- 13. Knead the dough until smooth using the dough hooks of a hand mixer.
- 14. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
- 15. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel.
- 16. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- 17. Cut the bell peppers into quarters.
- 18. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper quarters.
- 19. Wash the seeded pepper pieces.
- 20. Cut the peppers into thin strips.
- 21. Mix cream cheese and ajwar in a small bowl.
- 22. Place a piece of baking paper on your work surface.
- 23. Lightly dust the baking paper with flour.
- 24. Roll out the pizza dough on the baking paper.
- 25. Transfer the dough with the baking paper onto a baking tray.
- 26. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- 27. Distribute the pepper strips over the cream cheese layer.
- 28. Add the minced meat in small pieces on top.
- 29. Season everything generously with salt.
- 30. Season with pepper.
- 31. Season with paprika powder.
- 32. Season with oregano.
- 33. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees Celsius.
- 34. Place the pizza on the lowest rack.
- 35. Bake the pizza for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 36. Remove the pizza from the oven.
- 37. Lift the pizza off the tray using the baking paper.
- 38. Cut the pizza into eight pieces.
- 39. Serve the pizza hot.
