🍽️ Classic Potato and Minced Meat Casserole

Ingredients
- 800 g potatoes
- 250 g carrots
- 250 g celeriac
- 3 tbsp oil
- 500 g beef mince
- 1 tsp thyme (dried)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 stalk leek
- 150 ml reduced-fat whipping cream
- 50 g Gruyère cheese (grated)
- 4 eggs
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes.
- 2. Place them in salted water and boil them for about 25 minutes.
- 3. Drain the water and let the potatoes steam dry for a moment.
- 4. Slice the potatoes.
- 5. Peel the carrots and the celery.
- 6. Cut the vegetables into small cubes.
- 7. Fry the vegetables in oil.
- 8. Add the minced meat and the thyme.
- 9. Fry everything together.
- 10. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 11. Stir in the parsley.
- 12. Clean the leeks.
- 13. Cut the leeks lengthwise.
- 14. Wash them thoroughly.
- 15. Slice the leeks.
- 16. Whisk the cream with the cheese and the eggs.
- 17. Grease a baking dish.
- 18. Layer the prepared ingredients into the dish.
- 19. Finish the layers with the potato slices and the leek.
- 20. Pour the egg cream mixture over everything.
- 21. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 22. Bake the casserole for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
