🍽️ Potato Apple Bread with Cumin

Ingredients
- 200 g floury potatoes (cooked the day before)
- 500 g flour
- 2 ripe apples
- 250 ml milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cube yeast (42 g)
- 2 tbsp cumin seeds
- flour (for the work surface)
- butter (for the pan)
Instructions
- 1. Press the potatoes through a potato ricer.
- 2. Mix the pressed potatoes with the flour.
- 3. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 4. Peel the apples.
- 5. Cut the apples into quarters.
- 6. Core the apple quarters.
- 7. Grate the apples finely.
- 8. Fold the grated apples into the potato-flour mixture.
- 9. Warm the milk with the salt.
- 10. Crumble the yeast into the warm milk.
- 11. Stir the yeast in the milk until it has dissolved.
- 12. Pour the yeast-milk mixture into the flour mixture.
- 13. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough using the dough hooks of an electric hand mixer.
- 14. Add two-thirds of the cumin to the dough and mix it in well.
- 15. Cover the dough.
- 16. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
- 17. Wait until the volume of the dough has doubled.
- 18. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 19. Sprinkle some flour on a work surface.
- 20. Knead the dough again on the floured surface.
- 21. Shape the dough into a loaf.
- 22. Sprinkle the remaining cumin over the loaf.
- 23. Grease a baking pan.
- 24. Place the loaf in the greased baking pan.
- 25. Bake the loaf in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes until golden brown.
- 26. Remove the loaf from the oven.
- 27. Let the loaf cool down completely.
- 28. Serve the bread.
