🥗 Fruity Carrot and Orange Salad with Sesame

Ingredients
- 50 g raisins
- 1 unpeeled orange (juice)
- 1 tbsp orange blossom water
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 4 carrots (each 100 g)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- salt
- 1 pinch cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch nutmeg
Instructions
- 1. Place the raisins, orange juice, and orange blossom water into a small pot.
- 2. Warm the mixture on the stove until it is hot.
- 3. Remove the pot from the heat and let the raisins soak in the liquid for about one hour.
- 4. Put the sesame seeds into a hot pan without adding any extra fat.
- 5. Toast the sesame seeds until they turn golden yellow.
- 6. Remove the toasted sesame seeds from the pan and let them cool down completely.
- 7. Peel the carrots.
- 8. Cut the carrots into thin strips or grate them finely.
- 9. Mix the lemon juice, honey, and oil in a bowl.
- 10. Fold the soaked raisins into the dressing mixture.
- 11. Add the prepared carrots to the mixture and stir everything well.
- 12. Season the salad with salt, cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
- 13. Sprinkle the finished salad with the cooled sesame seeds.
- 14. Serve the salad immediately.
