Ingredients
- 500 g shallots
- 50 g butter
- salt
- 100 g sugar
- 250 ml red wine
- 2 sprigs rosemary
Instructions
- 1. Peel the shallots.
- 2. Heat the butter in a pan.
- 3. Fry the shallots until golden brown.
- 4. Turn the shallots frequently.
- 5. Season the shallots with salt.
- 6. Stir in the sugar.
- 7. Caramelize the sugar until light brown.
- 8. Deglaze the pan with red wine.
- 9. Add the rosemary.
- 10. Simmer the sauce until syrupy.
